Piece of Cake
April 7th, 2010 by The LibrarianRobert checked his driving directions and set off for his afternoon appointment. He’d made no secret of the fact that he wasn’t entirely on board with this thing. He’d never wanted a book about himself. His life was his life and he’d spent his career playing his personal life as close to the vest as he could. But his management had decided now was the time and had already picked out the writer.
He supposed it must be a sign of getting older that he hadn’t protested as much as he could have. Ten years ago he would have walked out of the meeting and left them with another unauthorized conjecture fest. Now it was just easier to sigh and give in. Continue the story
