Arianne sat in the airport not sure how this trip was going to go. It was the first time she’d traveled since before the birth of her daughter, and an 8 hour trip with a baby barely a year old was an unknown. Her parents had tried to discourage her from returning to London, but it felt more like home than America did and frankly, her folks were beginning to get on her nerves. She hoped Christina would sleep through most of the trip.

They called for people with children to board and she took a breath, struggling to pick up her bags and keep a tight grip on Chris. She gasped when a male voice said “Allow me,” before picking up her luggage. Continue the story

Bright Poet’s Mystery

Ceridwen sat looking out the plane window feeling oddly let down. The past month had been a whirlwind of unusual activity for her. She had been used to minimal travel with the various bands she played in, but she’d never traveled this much just to see shows. She had no idea what had possessed her to go to all of Robert Plant’s solo shows, but she’d just felt she should. For some reason she thought maybe it might be her last chance to see him live. She didn’t like to think that but it nagged at her, and she’d taken every last cent she had out of the bank and booked her own little tour. Continue the story
