Robert drove the deserted back road muttering to himself. He was annoyed for being talked into coming to the states for interviews this time of year. He was annoyed by the bad weather that was going to keep him from being home for Christmas. And he was partcularly annoyed at himself for deciding that snow or no snow he was going to sight see. Now he was certain he was lost, and his map was useless as there was nothing out here to give him a bearing. The land was flat and featureless, and the wet snow blew across the road, making it blend in with the surrounding fields. Continue the story
