Modern Music’s Voice of Ages

Like most people, I was introduced to the voice of Robert Plant via his pivotal “Lucky Break” in the business with Led Zeppelin. Although it’s been known for some time that he began singing professionally several years before Jimmy Page offered him the job as Rock’s most memorable “Front Man”, It was the machinery of Zep that put Robert in front of massive audiences in a very quick instant. As a fan of his own personal qualities, I would have to wager that Zeppelin’s instant and enduring success was a direct result of Robert Plant’s membership. Although a group of musician’s musicianship is vital to a great overall delivery, it is usually the vocalist that adds most of the humanity and emotion to the impact a song can have on the listener. A listener of one, or an arena filled with thousands. Continue the story

The Champion

Robert ran his hand through the mane of the big draft horse, smiling when he nodded as if Robert were doing just the right thing. Robert saddled him up, quite pleased to own a horse again. Everyone had laughed at him for his choice of horse, but there was something about having a work horse that seemed comforting. Continue the story
