Bob Likes Aubergines

Kate Ouef just wanted to sleep. She let herself into her apartment and went directly to her room to lie down. She’d had a lot of hurtful things happen to her in her life, but she thought maybe tonight had been one of the worst. Or at least the most embarassing. She rolled over, staring at the framed pictures that littered her nightstand. She picked up a handful and flung them against the wall, prompting an answering thump from the apartment next door.
