Disclaimers
The fan fiction plots (General, Slice of Life, Historical, Poetry) have no basis in fact (thus the term “fiction”). They all stem from a batch of fertile imaginations and in no way reflect any sort of real-life parallel. The fiction runs the gamut from G-rated to just past R. There is no slash fiction. The Slice of Life pieces are unabashedly romance stories. If you don’t like the idea of Robert as basically a nice guy who always gets the girl, avoid those at all costs! The essays are opinion pieces and reflect the thoughts of the writer.
Guidelines for Contributing
General Guidelines
- Use a spellchecker and standard English. Stories written using chatspeak shorthand will be returned for editing (for example: using “U” instead of “you”, or lacking in punctuation).
- Short pieces (300 words or less) and poetry may be pasted directly into the submission form. Longer pieces should be sent as an attachment, preferrably plain text. MS Word and AppleWorks files may also be accepted. Fill out the submission form if you have a longer story or article and you’ll receive an email address to use for longer story submissions.
Guidelines for Essays
- Length is unimportant, though more than 200 words would be nice.
- Essays must be focused on Robert. Essays about why Led Zeppelin is great are better left for other websites. Topics could include things like: how Robert’s music has impacted your life, why Robert is an enduring musical figure, memorable solo shows–anything that gets you thinking about Robert, his music or his solo career.
- You must provide a valid email address and your name. You may use a screen name for posting on the article, but you may be contacted to clarify points or discuss edits. If you cannot be contacted your essay will not be used.
- Essays may be edited for grammar, spelling and content.
- Submission of an essay does not guarantee publication. Many of the same topic rules present on the message board will apply here. You may engage in constructive criticism, however unfocused and blatantly negative Plant rants will be rejected.
Feedback and Ratings
The feedback is moderated and will not appear instantly. The feedback is designed for you to let the writers know if you like their story. It is not intended for nitpicking, scathing criticisms, or general badmouthing. The authors pen these stories for fun and enjoyment and have been kind enough to share them with us. Be kind to them as well.
You may rate the stories without commenting if you like. After reading the story simply click the appropriate star in the ratings bar at the end of the story and your rating will be counted. The ratings will show the number of people who have rated that story and an average rating.
